This course is recommended for people who work with children aged 0–8 years, including early childhood educators, caregivers, parents, whānau, and community workers. It is also suitable for anyone seeking comprehensive child-focused first aid training.
The training meets the minimum qualification requirements for workplace first aiders and provides practical, confidence-building skills to respond effectively to emergencies involving infants and young children.
This course is eligible for NZQA Unit Standards:
6401 – Provide first aid for life-threatening conditions
6402 – Provide first aid for non-life-threatening conditions
On successful completion, participants will:
Receive a Child First Aid Certificate
Gain NZQA credits (where applicable)
Hold a certificate that is valid for two (2) years
